Best sleep app… THANK YOU!!!
gigijen22 on 2023-08-18
This app has helped me to understand why I’m so exhausted all the time. It’s helped my doctors adjust my meds. It has given the doctors more than any overnight sleep study has ever given them. I think one reason is because I can be at home in my own bed and it really does a great job tracking sleep habits along with sleep stages. I am getting sleep, but I’m not getting any deep sleep. Most of my sleep is not still or restful. when I had my sleep studies, I just couldn’t sleep. The doctors decided I had insomnia. That’s not a particularly helpful diagnosis, I already knew that. I wanted to know why. This app has helped me to analyze the situation and recreate the times I’ve gotten deep sleep so that I’m getting more and more. I love the ability to edit, too, if I know I got more or less sleep than the app is aware of. Thank you so much, developers! My husband has purchased the three app suite, too.
Not working
Garbage data on 2023-08-18
I’ve tried twice, once years ago, and then again in the last couple weeks and the data is always completely wrong. Specifically, it ignores times in the early morning when my heart rate jumps to awake levels. I know I was awake but it still says I was asleep. The final straw is it said I was asleep despite me having unlocked and used my phone. 45 minutes of actively using my phone that were considered sleep. I’ve tried altering the adjustments in the app to better capture my sleep but it will add awake times to 1am when my HR is lower and my phone was off and never be able to “see” I was awake at 4:30 or 5am. Despite actively using my connected iPhone and raising my wrist several times to check the time. I am at a loss for how to make this better. The only thing I’ve been able to do is adjust those times manually, but it informs me this is the wrong process and it cannot learn from it.
Worth every penny

I used to have a Jawbone up, and I loved the sleep features and vibrate to wake feature. That alarm was great because it would wake you up in a sleep state that was less jarring than a regular timed alarm, and it vibrated rather than sound. I’ve tried other sleep apps and I just didn’t like them or they weren’t as useful as the Jawbone. This app is what should be included on an Apple watch as a standard. The rings are similar to Fitness, so you can see how much and what kind of sleep you are getting. You can also do a deep dive of any of the items to get more detail and how to improve. The sleep debt is important for me because I can see how much sleep I’ve missed, how to improve, and how much of a sleep debt I have. I really notice a difference in fatigue when I have a sleep debt. All in all, this really is an essential app to track sleep.
Really helps you keep informed.

I am recovering from COVID-19 and this app has been a great help. COVID-19 attacked my lungs causing pneumonia and scar tissue forcing me to use an oxygen generator 24 hours a day. As I did my rehabilitation exercises I wanted to check my Spo2 levels so I could get off the oxygen ASAP. I have one that fits over your finger and it works good but I can’t use it at night. This app uses my Apple Watch to check not only my Spo2 but also pulse, resting heartbeat, HRV and much more. It is offered as a single app or a 3 app bundle. Choose the bundle. It also has an in-depth guide for those who really want to dig down into its feature set. IM GLAD I BOUGHT IT! My pulmonologist said no one has ever come in to her office with this much knowledge about their health.
I depend on this app

I’ve been using this app since when AutoSleep was a viable companion app. That went out of support but AutoSleep kept going and I love it. I’d give 5 stars except for the fact that too often it fails to accurately record my sleep time start. Many times it’s off by 1hr later than I know I fell asleep. Example: I set start sleep at 9:10P I’m asleep within 10min but the next day the summary indicates a 10P sleep start. I didn’t lay there for nearly 50min before I fell asleep. Adjusting never allows me the ability to go far enough back to indicate an earlier sleep start. I presume it may be related to heart rate and respiration as these are indicators but I should be able to adjust with more latitude (at least to when press “Start Sleep”).
5 Stars! I love this app!

I have using this app for several months now and can honestly say that it has help improve my sleep. I have struggled with sleep issues for many years and by using this app I have been able to understand my sleep patterns and visually see where my deficiencies are so that I can work on getting a better night’s sleep. Where in the past I would look at my sleep score and everything was either red or yellow to waking up to a score in blue or green has been truly amazing. I used to dread going to bed because I knew I’d just lay there. Now I look forward to it and seeing my score in the morning. My deep sleep score is much higher and I feel so much more focused, energized, and ready to go in the morning. Thanks so much for a great app!
Inaccurate
Cliff727282762 on 2023-08-18
Incredibly inaccurate. I sleep from 2:30 to 11:00 and it will say I woke up at 9:00. Other apps will also say I got under an hour of deep sleep and this app is almost triple that. I even manually set my sleep on my Watch before bed and turn it off when I am actually awake. The app shouldn’t decide because I woke up to use the bathroom that I’m awake for the day. I manually set this for a reason Also there is simply a bunch of “bulkware” type of information without good explanations. Acronyms without explanations etc… There is zero reason to get this app over the default Health app.
Awesome app

This app seems like it’s very accurate It breaks down your sleep into quality and deep sleep. Although I knew I was a bit short on sleep, I didn’t realize what poor quality and very little deep sleep I was getting. Now that I am more aware of the problem, I’m making adjustments to improve the quality of my sleep. I’m cutting off the TV a little earlier and trying to get it a little more activity during the day which increases my deep sleep tremendously. By taking the feedback from this app, I make adjustments, and I definitely feel more rested and awake during the day.
Way off
bugzy79 on 2023-08-18
I toss and turn in my sleep and it looks like it’s registering me as awake for far longer than I am when this happens. Today it registered 3.5 hours of sleep, with a full hour of being awake, when I definitely got more sleep and wasn’t awake between 5-6AM like it showed. It’s definitely correct on nights where my sleep is crap and I’m moving about, but I know I’m getting more than 4 hours a night, which is my app average. I’m thinking my rearranging myself here and there isn’t going to make it possible for accuracy compared to someone who lies still all night.
SLEEP is Important to Wellbeing

I’ve used the SLEEP App on my AppleWatch daily for years. After reading “Why We Sleep”, I started using strategies to improve the duration and quality of my sleep. This SLEEP App gives me knowledge of my sleep results, based on data my AppleWatch collects. This App gives me objective information about my nightly sleep, that I can compare with my subjective opinion about a night’s sleep duration and quality. I recommend this App to anyone who is working on improving their understanding of their own sleep patterns and quality of their sleep.
