Bring back HBOMax

I have no idea why this app is rated so high. It’s trash. You get kicked out every time you switch shows. It’s ridiculous. There was no reason for this new app when the old one was great. You could’ve just added the “new” content to the old app instead of roll this garbage out. Check your rating’s on Apple TV. The truth lies there. Just when I started to think it was an Apple issue I logged into my smart TV. After one day of watching HBO I couldn’t use the app AGAIN. Nothing but error messages. It won’t even let me login. At least Apple lets me login five times a day! Thee worst app ever zero stars if I could.
Your new version don’t work

Since you create a new version a week ago to “fix bugs” your app took me out of my account not allowing me to sign in and showing this device sync error,I contacted your support team and they were unable to help me,I even tried to create another account but nothing seems to work the same error keeps popping up. So sadly I am afraid I won’t be able to create another account cuz you won’t let me and after almost 2 years of using HBO you forced me to request a refund for my last payment month of subscription which I won’t be able to use so why should I pay for it.

Casting to any device is shotty at best, can’t pause or control the volume with it so every time a new episode starts it automatically sets my volume to 100. Even the downloads arnt really downloads, you still need Wi-Fi or some kind of internet access to watch them, I thought the whole point was to watch without data especially when your on a 7 hour plane ride with no Wi-Fi. It has some great shows and movies but the customer experience is very sub par.
Notification settings

I’d love more control over my app notification settings. I get all my notifications about new episodes of shows through Apple TV so I don’t want these from Max but I’d love it if you could recommend new shows you think I’d like based on my viewing history. Please let me disable the former and add the latter The recent “Click here for an adrenaline rush” notification is not what I had in mind though… still no controls for this
Major accessibility issue for voiceover user who is blind

The accessibility issues have gotten much more worse ever since HBO max became max. Did they not take being accessible and inclusive into consideration. I pay the same amount to view content. This app is very very hard to navigate using voiceover. There’s no reason why it cannot be made accessible. It’s just needs to be a priority to make accessibility a requirement within the app development.

O aplicativo é ridiculamente ruim, o catálogo é bom mas o aplicativo em si é um lixo, deveriam contratar bons programadores. Depois da atualização de “HBO” para “Max” oq era ruim ficou ainda pior e tudo tem problema de conectividade por conta das versões diferentes da plataforma. O catálogo mudar de acordo com o país que vc está também n ajuda em nada o app. Muito ruim msm!!
This app is clunky

The MAX app has been a disaster since it launched. A lot of the content included have audio syncing issues with the video on both the mobile and Roku devices. A new issue that cropped up today is that anytime you pause a film or a program the app doesn’t retain the stopping point and reverts back to the start the show over movie. This app needs some serious work.
App blows

The app can’t coordinate between 2 phones and one tv. It can’t keep place in a series. Freezes. Just straight up frustrating all the times I use it. Content is separate. But if there are playback problems all the time, the experience is less good. And yes, customer support is only designed to be awful enough so I give up in less than 2 hours.

the reason im using my ipad is because i wanted to write this review and state that its a bother i cant watch the end credits of the loony tunes cartoons on my roku (im not sure how it is yet on mobile). Edit: You changed it! Thanks! Now i can watch the end credits of looney tunes! $17 still seems like a dollar or two too much but, thank you!
