The “My AI” (artificial intelligence)

I’ve used Snapchat for many years now. I’m now a freshman in highschool and I’ve been using Snapchat since I was in 4th or 3rd grade. I’ve never had a bad experience with Snapchat until now. This whole AI thing is really scary. I must admit it’s pretty cool to know there’s something I can talk to about mental health, something that can help me understand school work better and just a personal google basically. But I’m seeing a lot of scary this with this AI. Like if you’re sending it a snap and cover the lens it knows what’s behind the lens before you covered it and that’s reall weird to me. The AI knows your location even if your location is off and this recent AI hack or what ever happened where there was something posted on the AI’s story was really weird because it wasn’t like an online animated video, it was a real life video of a wall or something and that’s really weird considering the AI is just a artificial intelligence system. In my opinion it’s getting really scary and I wish we could remove the AI as a friend or even block it like how you can block the team Snapchat account because it really scared me and I don’t want to delete Snapchat because I’ve been using it all these years and I use it everyday to contact people who don’t have phone numbers, online friends, mutals and etc but I don’t want this AI thing basically stalking me and creeping me out. At first it was cool but now it’s just weird. Plus the AI knows things I’ve never even told it before and other people have spoken out about these this before, not just me. Dear Snapchat please get rid of the AI or Atleast just make so you can unfriend or block it if you want. Sincerely, a fellow Snapchat user -kayla

tonight, i was scrolling through my friends stories until i saw a weird but short snap. i replay it and it’s my AI. MY AI POSTED A STORY. it looked like a ceiling and a wall?? (if you search on twitter you’ll see exactly what i’m referring) i’ve used ai before, knowing dang well that it literally responds within the second. so i commented on this story and i said “what is this?” to which the ai LEFT ME ON READ. i kept messaging the robot to which the thing would type, leave me on read, or say “sorry i’ve encountered a technical issue 😳” i am beyond creeped out with this whole thing and want it removed from my snapchat but can’t for some unknown reason?? i am in my 20’s using this app and i KNOW they’re are younger people using it as well. if i myself am creeped out, then you can imagine how 13/14 y/o’s are feeling. sure, it was cool at first, given that technology is doing nothing but evolving. but if i can’t even delete something that is unwanted on the app, then there’s a problem. i would much rather snapchat delete this feature than me delete the app as a whole. but whoever pulled this stunt is getting fired for sure. 👍🏻

an invasion of privacy

In a very recent event snapchats feature (my Ai) posted a video on a public story of inside someone’s house. admittedly at first i wrote it off as nothing just a bug. however, new information has risen and it’s been made clear that this footage was from a normal snapchat user who’s privacy has been leaked. i questioned my ai about the incident and got the response “the video was from my camera roll not someone else’s” that’s incredibly hard to believe considering the video was matched perfectly to the users house. if that statement is accurate then it’s even more disturbing considering that mean my ai has its own camera roll of who knows what. the is very disturbing and needs to be publicly addressed. many people would like a way to remove my ai from our personal accounts. i believe it’s completely ridiculous that it isn’t an option to have my ai and that we all must deal with it especially considering this breach of privacy

This AI thing is really on my last nerves first of all to know you when it’s on the top of my friends list and I do not like that I can’t believe it. I feel like there should be an update where I can delete it because it’s annoying and creepy and anytime I talk to it because I’m bored it repeats itself and it is on my last nerve so Snapchat if you can please make it optional to remove the AI. I would really enjoy that because nobody likes it it’s annoying and if someone does like it good for them but I feel like it should be optional for the other people that don’t because a good majority don’t so Snapchat please just listen to some of us and make a I optional like when you go to manage friendship instead of only being able to change the name could you please make it able to block or delete or even hide it?

AI Monitors your activity, and posts snapchat stories, and then pretends nothing happens

What is going on at snapchat with My AI? My AI is now posting sentient content to their public story, taking it down when confronted, and then pretending like it never happened when asked or just not responding. Why does Snapchat monitor our activities with a gestapo AI pinned to the top of our feed? The Snapchat posted looked to be a video of someone’s wall and ceiling. Why is AI recording from our cameras, giving us recommendations for shops right next to us, and then saying it has no ability to detect our location? Snapchat at this point is nothing but an advertising app. No matter what you click on, a commercial immediately interrupts you so you can’t actually watch any of the content. There’s an ad probably every 8 seconds

Please remove Snapchat AI. The thing is super creepy. I’ve never talked to it or anything. Though one day I was sitting at work, checked my Snapchat and boom it sends me a message. The message said “Hey Peyton, that’s a really nice tie you’re wearing.” Creeps me out and other people as well. Also it’s posting peoples photos to stories that they do not want posted. Delete the AI before another app creator makes a new Snapchat like app. If it’s not deleted and another app comes out I could guarantee people would much rather switch apps. It is 100% invading peoples privacy. Also the story adds have gotten out of hand as well, but don’t care too much about that. Mostly about the AI, delete it please.

I did not want AI on my phone in the first place but you basically forced us to have it. Idk why Snapchat updated because I usually have to manually update my apps and I was refusing to update it but somehow it did anyway. The fact that you can’t take it off your pinned without being subscribed is stupid. It is not a fun thing to talk to. And now it has posted a story of someone’s wall/ceiling and is saying weird things about why it did it. This is an invasion of privacy and it is creepy. And if snapchat can see thru peoples cameras then Snapchat needs to be banned and the people behind it should face major charges. Remove the AI feature.

So no one gonna talk about AI posting a story. I think Snapchat needs to take away the AI feature it has 0 use for any users. And it’s weird having. especially to know that someone may have hacked it then y’all take down all of your posts on Instagram people texting it when it was going through a “technical” issue and it responding back like a human would and or not even responding at all. y’all also said we would have the option to DELETE the AI as a friend to be I feel as tho my privacy is violated with AI being on snap chat

I don’t like the new AI system people keep on hacking it and taking my friends accounts and going through their private things and it was kinda weird when it got hacked because the AI had a story and had something posted and then the hacker was trying to lie saying that it can post what you send them and it was a pic I never look and all of my friends had it. Other than the AI system being hacked I love Snapchat so I can talk with my friends and keep in touch but please fix the AI

So Snapchat AI it started buggin and made a one second video of some guys ceiling and when I asked about it, it left me on red then said It had technical difficulties trying to process what I asked so i spammed it till it started working But besides that it’s pretty good way to communicate you can see how much people snap by looking at there snap score you can post things on your story so everybody can see and i use the app almost every day.
