Why only 3 stars? 5 main reasons…
Honest_Ratings_XXX on 2023-08-18
1) For security purposes, need a much simpler way for the user to delete specific names from their ‘Search People’ (legacy/latent email addresses only used one time or no longer used) in autofill by allowing the user to hard-press on a name & delete it. I have obsolete legacy email addresses from people (not contacts) from long ago deleted emails I wish to permanently delete, but cannot easily do this. BL: allow the user to easily update their ‘Search People’ Autofill to clear cache / delete old email addresses from populating FOREVER without reappearing! 2) Shift the onus from the USER to report when, ‘Microsoft account team has detected unusual sign in’ from half way around the world to Microsoft just take care of it if the user never leaves their country, state, city, or even house! Lol! YOU, MICROSOFT can just realize it’s not the user by their online behavior or better yet, allow the user the ability to checkmark an option, “It will NEVER be me signing in outside my country.” and then, YOU, MICROSOFT can just take action whenever someone tries logging in from any IP that’s not in MY country! 3) Inundated with spam! No matter how proactive I am at slaying spam by unsubscribing, blocking, and reporting, it always gets in! Again, instead of putting the onus on the user to constantly flag spam, maybe find a better way of keeping it out of their inbox in the first place! 4) Please do a better job educating WHERE to locate the UNSUBSCRIBE and BLOCK function in ‘manage email settings’ (it’s buried very low priority after less useful layout options and then under more options in email settings.) MOVE IT UP to 1st spot under email account settings IT’S IMPORTANT FOR USERS TO KNOW THIS FEATURE EXISTS FOR SECURITY PURPOSES AND TO EASILY FIND IT!!! I get it, you don’t really want the user to find this very useful feature because you really want advertisers to continue to SPAM since they pay you, but users will find a new email service if their experience is annoying because of too much spam! Finally, 5) Finally, when deploying new features or changing layout, do a better job educating the user (i.e., Youtube tutorials, a friendly email explaining the upcoming change, CNET article, etc.) rather than the user having to say, “Wait, what?” Was there a recent change because something looks/feels different.” Thank-you!
Thank you Microsoft

The only reason why I gave you guys a 3 star is because as business owner I receive way too many spam, phishing, and fraudulent emails sent to me. I have flagged these people and reported them but I continue to receive their annoying emails. If you could please find a solution to stop these crooks from continuing to send me emails if immensely appreciate it! Everything else is awesome on my outlook email. It’s helped me to stay more organized and the views of the emails are pretty crisp. I like how profesional it look when I receive and send out emails to my clients. So thank you for creating outlook it definitely has been a great tool for me to utilize for work.
Lies

Every so often they push out an update, but nothing changes. Nothing is improved, no features are added, it’s no more reliable than before, etc. I’ve been using this email app for years and keep it updated but it never gets any better. It’s mediocre to say the least. I think the updates are just behind the scenes spyware and tracking cookies and the like. I’ve yet to see an update that has measurably improved or changed the Outlook app. If you MUST use Outlook for some reason, so do. Otherwise, this is pretty much a garbage email app.
So much Spam/Phishing Getting Through! Do Better!
mom-n-wife on 2023-08-18
The issues with this app are nonstop. They finally fixed the totally ridiculous problem of copy/pastes being in a different font (so it was obvious when I rearranged the order of what I’d written to send) but there it’s still SO MUCH CRAP coming through to my focused inbox—which then comes to my watch! I report them all as junk or phishing DAILY and it’s not helping! And they are often spams that are well known, like “Lowe’s Winner” emails. How can your software not recognize this crap?? Figure it out! Do better! Please!!!
Trouble deleting old photos
MotorMan25 on 2023-08-18
I tried to trim my Outlook data usage by deleting old photos with my new WIN 11 laptop . I am 72yrs old & some computer skills are difficult to maintain & keep up with. I thought I’d accomplished the task but I still get threatening notices that my files & email will be deleted. If this continues I will be forced to move to another platform; GOOGLE~Chrome perhaps? Or Mozilla? Or gasp ! Linux-even . I purchased my Lenovo laptop with the more capable I5 chipset with Windows 11 in order to stay abreast of new technologies
Disappointed
Shaver1717 on 2023-08-18
When I receive an email notification on my Lock Screen and tap on it to open, Outlook takes forever to go to that email. It opens the app, but takes 30 seconds to go to the message I received a notification for. Also, sending photos is unreliable. I keep Gmail on my phone just for sending photos because they usually send more quickly and without issue. Finally, the search function doesn’t work as well as Gmail. I don’t want to use Gmail as a primary business email app, but it’s really tempting at this point.
Takes forever to load emails
asian_donutz on 2023-08-18
I don’t know if it’s just a problem with my phone, but it takes forever to update my emails. I just want to check an email I got from school and I’m waiting past 10 minutes and it’s still “updating”. It’s frustrating! I already updated the app, but it still has that long update. The only thing I can see are my pinned emails. Everything else would be faster to see on my laptop rather than my phone. It should be more convenient to have access to this app on my phone but it’s not.
No Alias Support
MacFella on 2023-08-18
EDIT: Years later this has not changed. I suppose this is just an app for corporate (1 email address), but not a true professional with multiple aliases. Unfortunate and sad. It used to be in advanced options, was removed and confirmed by support after a half a dozen back-and-forth messages. I had to switch apps for obvious reasons. This is a requirement by many. Strange to me that it is now ignored. Otherwise 5 stars!
Spam magnet. ZERO STAR APP
TDC0430 on 2023-08-18
App is pitiful! Does not to filter spam, yet sends you upgrade notifications to block spam! The government should reign in all these greedy corporations! App is pure garbage and full of ads in which I will never buy 💯 junk. Outlook places ads on top of inbox and does absolutely nothing to stop spAm, Oh but if you upgrade they will block spam. The reason I don’t use any Microsoft products! Deleted app
Dumbest Email App Ever!
Deadpool_2018 on 2023-08-18
At first I really liked this app until I realized that their moronic development team designed the app to where you can only assign one email per contact, which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Every single email app I have ever used allowed me to add unlimited amounts of email addresses to a contact. I will be deleting this app off of my phone now. Such a pity, it was a good app up until now.
